SARAH CAIN

Founder & Chief visionary

Design isn't simply about creating beautiful homes. It's about creating environments that elevate how people live, connect, and experience their lives.

‍Beautiful homes have never been my true passion. People are.

I've always believed that the spaces we live in quietly shape the way we experience our lives. They influence how we gather with family, celebrate milestones, find peace after difficult days, and create memories that last for generations.

Long before I became an interior designer, I was the child sketching floor plans instead of coloring pictures. I was fascinated by the idea that changing a space could change how someone felt.

That fascination eventually became a calling.

Today, as Founder and Chief Visionary of Sarah Cain Design, I have the privilege of helping clients create homes that don't simply look beautiful—they support the life they want to live and the person they aspire to become.

I often say that we aren't designing rooms.

We're designing the backdrop for life's most meaningful moments.

Design with Purpose

Every project begins with listening.

Understanding how a family lives, what brings them joy, how they entertain, how they recharge, and what they dream about is just as important as selecting materials or developing architectural details.

Luxury, to me, isn't about excess.

It's about intentionality.

When every decision has purpose, a home becomes deeply personal and timeless.

A Lifelong Student of Design

My path has been anything but conventional.

After earning my degree from Wake Forest University, I later returned to school to pursue a Master of Interior Design from the University of Florida, where studying design in Italy became one of the defining experiences of my life.

Walking the streets of Vicenza and studying the work of Palladio, Carlo Scarpa, Michelangelo, and countless master craftsmen transformed the way I saw design—not simply as decoration, but as a blend of architecture, artistry, history, and craftsmanship.

Those experiences continue to influence every project we create.

Beyond Design

Before founding Sarah Cain Design, I owned and operated multiple restaurant concepts across North Central Florida—an experience that taught me leadership, entrepreneurship, and the importance of creating environments where people naturally connect.

Today, I continue to mentor my team, speak within the design community, and support organizations that strengthen families and our local community.

But perhaps what brings me the greatest fulfillment is watching clients walk into their completed home and say,

"This feels like us."

Because that's always been the goal.

Not simply beautiful interiors.

A life beautifully lived.

"Beautiful design is only the beginning. Our greatest work is helping create homes that support the lives our clients aspire to live."
